I haven't so much as cracked open a game book in at least 2 months. While the raging WoW addiction continues with some satisfaction, my mind is circling around different plots and stories. Some fantasy and some not. I've been pondering how details our lives are. The old saying of "Everybody has a storie" while cliche, is still very true. I find myself writing the interesting bits of my own life in Hollywood style. All the sex, drama, tragedy and triumph would make a great book/movie if marketed appropriately. Change the backdrop to LA or something, make it all sound larger than life. Then I ponder what stories everyone else has.
We've all lost a love, overcome some challenge, lived with pain and hopefully found some joy. It would make a good story with just a few tweeks, right? Hehe.
Blame by Curtis Owings
A compelling tale of adultry, betrayal and love set in the sleeply suburbs of the Midwest. The dirty secrets of a conservative couple are exposed. As tensions rise sex and desire rip their world apart and plunge them headlong in to a thrilling drama with a shocking conclusion.
Sounds good, eh? I'd have to change real events around, add more violence and some firearms (of which my life is pretty much devoid of) and I think it would be a good book.
I've also been pondering a new fantasy game setting. Nothing shocking, but even a simple tale of Kings and Queens is imagination capturing. After seeing the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe I've been thinking of a new game.
Anyways, thoughts swirl in my mind again. Lately, I've been so busy I've not had time to let them spin. But maybe I'll get the time here soon.
What would your life novel be?
